I think sometimes when we're writing on our blog or putting our thoughts online, we wonder whether anything we write will have an impact on those who read it and you just proved to me that communicating authentically and truthfully online isn't ever in vain. I'm really touched by your comment, BTW, I've hadn't head of Marshall Syler but googled him immediately and I see I'm in great company so thank you for that.

And thanks for offering your help with aweber...immediately after I tweeted that concern a aweber rep contacted me to take care of the problem.

I hope I keep writing articles that tug on the heart....let's see ;)

Re: Steppin Out for Introverts (not just coaches).

Can't say how grateful I am for all the comments. Two: I like your style of thinking. I see us a problems solvers "FIXIN' THINGS" as my pastor says.

I do have a solution to your aweber concerns in a tool that I use and can offer. Not gonna hard sell. if interested DM me on Twitter. I KNOW I can save you money and make your tools more powerful

Oh the third way you tuggin' on my heart. This is as good as any sermon from the pulpit I've ever heard!

And your main point is very well taken. We're doing our potential customers and clients a HUGE disservice if we don't share our knowledge and our gifts. As you mentioned, that's just plain selfish.

I'm glad that Terrie inspired you to write this post. I just met her recently during the last blogging challenge we completed on May 9th. She interviewed me as a guest expert and she was Awesome-O-Matic!

Write On!
(or should I say Preach On!) :-)
Melanie
#blog30

Re: Steppin Out for Introverts (not just coaches).

geez and you even got my picture...LOL...thanks so much for posting this (and for putting that I inspired your post - I really do appreciate it) - your words of wisdome are very helpful and I've already printed them out.

thanks so much for being a part of this challenge!

Terrie

Re: Your Steppin’ Out Referral Program

Thanks for sharing! Please let me know how it works it for you. I'm interested in the results.

~Melanie your question is going to take a blog post from me also...so stay tuned.

Wow, thanks everyone for commenting. But you know what, Terrie is awesome, whether she thinks she's shy or not. So to me that means our self-perceptions are not what others see - they see confidence and authority. I'll be following this entire series. And I'm going to follow along and see what can happen during this 30 days for me. I will tell you that I stepped out during the last blog challenge and it was very important. Thanks for bringing this to my attention...
Terrie

Re: Your Steppin’ Out Referral Program

Tynisha ~

I love this strategy. It's actually my "dream" strategy for showcasing my expertise and getting word-of-mouth referrals. Just one teeny-weeny problem. I have zero minutes of time to devote to attending meet-ups or in-person networking events. Not to set a negative tone here or anything of the kind, but I'm a single mom and I work three part time jobs outside the home as well as running my own online business. Whew!

It's a real double-edged sword situation, if you know what I mean. I know exactly what I "want" to do and yet what I "need" to do is getting in the way.

All in all, your post maps out an ideal way to get yourself out there and strut your stuff!!

Melanie
#blog30

Re: Your Steppin’ Out Foundation

I have several marketing books and although you mention to step out - a lot of the books on the market now are Inbound Marketing.

How do I balance the Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, digg.com - etc. with the challenge of face to face networking? Also, how do I attract more clients for a business like interior design. Any ideas?

Re: Your Steppin’ Out Foundation

Great post, Tynisha. And congratulations on the blog. It looks fantastic. On goals, I believe that the single most important predictor of success for women is the identification of specific goals and the lining up of actions to achieve them. And movements are so powerful, and when we embrace our ability to embody one, amazing things happen indeed. Thanks for this stepping out moment!

Re: Your Steppin’ Out Foundation

Hi Tynisha,

I see you are going to be a staple to the blog challenge.
